How to Make Your Dreams Come True

We’ve all had dreams at some point in our lives. We may have buried them deep, given up on them, or forgotten about them. But dreams that are part of our Soul’s Song tend to travel with us and never fully die. Even if these dreams or wishes only resurface in a random thought that we brush aside, they have a tendency to bubble up whether we want them to or not. These dreams want to find a way.

Wishes are Clues to Your Soul’s Song

Often a big clue to your Soul’s Song is to look at the “wishes” or dreams that you’ve been pushing aside for decades, or even a lifetime. One of my wishes since childhood was “I wish I could play the piano like my Granny.” What I really meant was, “I wish I could express myself on the keyboard the way Granny does… without needing sheet music.” I brushed this wish aside for decades because I had no natural ear for music like my Granny did. Another wish was, “I wish I felt comfortable singing a solo in public.” I’m finally living those dreams… and pursuing the development of those skills.

Yet, Laurel’s dream (that wish to go to Japan, immerse herself in the language, and become a translator and teacher) has gotten louder and louder by the day. It’s like a drumbeat that cannot be silenced. That’s why I set up a GoFundMe for her to facilitate her dream of going to Japan for two years and doing a language immersion program. I believe everyone should have a chance to live their dreams! Especially dreams that are part of our Soul’s Song!
