I’ve had an immense amount of work, stress and challenges on my plate lately. I’ve found myself doing more whining and griping to God than usual. In fact, I’m ashamed to admit my prayers probably sound more like the demanding rants of an ungrateful child.<\/p>\n

After acknowledging and apologizing for this last night, I slipped into bed and fell asleep listening to Sara Bareilles’ “The Light.”<\/strong> At about 5am I had a dream that Jesus took my hand in His and led me to a better, more illuminated place. <\/strong>I had this overwhelming feeling that everything was going to be all right. A warm feeling of peace and trust settled over me. I haven’t felt that way in some time.<\/p>\n

I opened my eyes and realized the song had continued to play over and over all night long. It not only shifted, but also may have reprogrammed something in me. I’m still walking around with that feeling of peaceful trust.<\/p>\n

I had always viewed this song as a romantic one, but in the night, my mind set to work on it and reframed it as my relationship with God. Perhaps my thoughts and prayers acknowledging that I needed to adjust my attitude toward God had allowed the song to take on new meaning.<\/strong><\/p>\n

I’ve changed only one word in the song lyrics below. Now it’s become a wonderful way to express trust in my Savior.<\/p>\n
