Perfectionism – The Kiss of Death
When I was growing up my brother called me “good enough Marnie.” It was intended to be a jab, but in fact, I consider it a compliment. Why? Because I believe perfectionism is the kiss of death for the entrepreneur. Entrepreneurs make their living based on what their customers want and need. If you get too hung up on making everything “perfect” you lose precious time in being the first to market. You also don’t benefit from the valuable feedback you could be getting from prospective clients and customers. I’m not suggesting you create garbage or inferior products, but I am suggesting that you let go of perfection.
