If you follow me on Facebook or on Instagram, you’ve likely seen pictures of what I’ve been eating for supper lately!
Now I’m not one of those Instagram stars that has to post a picture every time she sits down to the table. I’m doing this for an entirely different reason, a reason that is not only going to help me, but can help you too.
You see, I’ve begun an important journey…one that is not only going to impact my weight, but is going to offer me the very real possibility of protection against heart disease, cancer and even dementia. Plus, it’s already increased my energy, my focus and productivity. And no, I’m not swigging expensive protein shakes, doing hours of cardio or taking a boatload of supplements.
What I’m doing is called intermittent fasting. You may have heard about it already because it’s been all over the news. IF, as it’s called, is not a diet. It’s not so much about what you eat, as when you eat it. And no, I don’t feel deprived, I’m not hungry and yes I can enjoy dessert!
My friend and colleague Ellen Britt has been doing this for seventeen months. I think you’ll see from her before and after picture below that after a 35 pound weight loss (in the first 7 months) with IF she’s literally become a new person!
