We’re going through the A.C.T.I.O.N. acronym. If you missed A, go here. Today is the letter C for “Care, But Don’t Care.” In other words, you need an aspiration you truly care about, but releasing the outcome is critical.
What do I mean by that? Watch this video, because I’ll share an example of a time in my life where I had to learn what it means to care, but not care. I think it will help you see what I mean.
Releasing the Outcome
The key is to set a clear intention for something you truly care about, take inspired action toward it, and then let go of the outcome.
Remember that you can’t control other people. You want an outcome, but who else is involved is not your call to make. Other people have their own freedom to choose.
Also, you can’t always choose which opportunity will be the one to materialize. That’s something else you need to release — when, how, or where your pieces come from.
So,s care about your big aspiration — care big about it — but don’t care whether this person or this opportunity is THE ONE to make it a reality.
