Pet Peeve: When experts say, “It’s never about the money or the time.”
In some seasons of your life you have so many external demands on your time/money that you can’t do the things you really want to do. Children need your attention, elderly parents need caring for, demanding jobs consume hours, financial calamities strike.
But that doesn’t mean you can’t save up the money or that you can’t better use small snippets of time to work toward the thing you desire. You may not have the money or the time to invest in that expert’s product right now, but each day you can do some small thing toward the outcome you’re seeking.
Success is in the small daily actions… 10 minutes reading an educational book, $5 saved toward your dream, a 15-minute walk to take care of your body, 15 minutes learning something new, etc. “By small and simple things are great things brought to pass.”
If you’re really in a tight spot, don’t let any “expert” shame you. Be honest with yourself and do what you can now with the time/money you do have. “Redeem the time” … use those small snippets to invest in your dream.
