I love this Ted Talk by Elizabeth Gilbert (of “Eat, Pray, Love” fame). She gives an entertaining explanation of the elusive and often-unduplicatable dance that happens between the artist and the divine. I can relate to this in many ways. There were times when writing fiction when the images came into my mind like movies. My job was simply to described them on the page. I’d close my eyes and type. There were some sections of An Uncertain Justice that my editor said, “You didn’t write this. You’re good. But you’re not this good. It’s like you channeled it.”
So enjoy this video. It’s a wonderful presentation on the Quantum Collaboration that occurs when spirit and artist are aligned… or as I say… when the artist has tuned her heart to the channel of inspiration.
